Club America is one of the best Mexican football teams based in Mexico City, competing in the Primera Division (Mexican first division). America has earned eight FIFA recognized international titles, and share a long-standing rivalry with Chivas.
The team mascot, as well as their nickname, is the Aguilas (eagle). An eagle is flown around the stadium before games and during half-time for good luck.
